We are deeply saddened that Eva’s life so tragically ended in 2014. Eva had gone to the Yonne region in France for a short break with a friend to celebrate her birthday and was hit by a car and died shortly afterwards.
At the start of an international career, Eva who was 28 and born in France, studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She became a Samling Artist in 2011 studying with Della Jones and John Mark Ainsley.
Eva appeared last year as Lisette La Rondine at Nancy, conducted by José Cura, Mimi La Bohème at Huddersfield Town Hall, Donna Elvira Don Giovanni at Dortmund, Eurydice Orphée aux Enfers in Paris and Amsterdam, Clorinda La Cenerentola at the Britten Theatre in London and Daphne Euridice for British Youth Opera.
On the recital platform, Eva performed at the Barbican Hall for a LSO pre-concert series, St Martin-in-the-Fields, City of London Festival, La Salle Cortot in Paris and the Wigmore Hall. She also performed as a soloist in Mozart Requiem, Handel’s Messiah (Canterbury Cathedral), Haydn’s Creation, Bach’s St John’s Passion, Honneger’s Le Roi David, Pergolese’s Stabat Mater and many other oratorio works.
She will be greatly missed by us all and our thoughts are with her family and friends…
